Yay new post!! Wait, it is 6 in the morning. Why am I posting at such a crazy time?? Well basically I got to enjoy the less fun side of snow tonight/this morning. Here is the story.
So after work I headed over to a friends house to play his new board game. We have been running trial and error games quite a bit lately. Most of the time they usually take quite awhile because we still have to pause and discuss matters related to the game. Tonight we didn't get started till quite late cause we had to reprint/remake a bunch of cards for the game. When all was said and done we finished around 2:20. Now any logical person would have just opted to crash at his place for the night and deal with heading home in the morning, but you see we aren't always the most logical bunch. So we all trecked outside and proceeded to survey the depth of the snow and whether we could get out. After some shoveling and pushing we got the first guy (in a rear wheel drive old truck) on his way home. Next came the mini van, saturn and me. Once we got them all pointed in the right direction the two guys who did decide to stay, gave us a push and a good luck. About a block down the road I hit nicely plowed road. Smooth sailing....until I came to my home street. It wasn't plowed. I tried to turn in and get momentum, but that got me about 5 inches. Luckily a guy with a plow on his truck came and gave me a good push, this got me about 100 feet. At this point I am not about to give up, so close yet so far away. I ran home and grabbed a shovel. I got a good track cleared and was tried moving, no luck. Oddly enough I was stuck outside my youngest sister's friends house. I thought, hey I can pull in here for the night and come in the morning when the plows have cleared. We no sooner had I got their driveway cleared, the plow came rolling by. He cleared everything for me, so now I just had to get my car unstuck. Once that was finished, I drove the rest of the way to my driveway only to hit a new snag. The plow had only cleared half the street...the side opposite my driveway. After another lengthy shoveling job I finally cleared a path to my parking spot and gave it a shot. Again I got stuck, but this time all I had to do was clear a small bit more snow to free the tire and get a good running head start up the driveway. Success!! 3 hours later, I was finally home and parked. Now I am thoroughly wasted of energy, yet still pumping lots of adrenaline, and don't know when I will be able to fall asleep.
